We are pleased to welcome Jyll Hopkins, WHNP
to our
team of health care providers.

 

Jyll Hopkins is a women’s health nurse practitioner (WHNP), specializing in the care of women of all ages. She delivers individualized patient care, focusing on wellness, disease prevention, and education.  

Jyll received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the Indiana University School of Nursing. She has six years of experience as a registered nurse and is nationally certified as an inpatient obstetric nurse. Jyll has also enjoyed working as a certified breastfeeding counselor, a certified prenatal educator, and a faculty member in the Nursing Division at Ivy Tech Community College.

 

As a member of the SIPW team, Jyll’s sensitive, personalized approach will make you feel comfortable and confident in your care.


Jyll will offer a variety of services as a WHNP:

  • Annual Exams: Jyll will take time to talk with you about your physical, mental, and emotional health. She will also perform a thorough physical exam and arrange any necessary health tests such as mammograms or bone density studies.
  • Contraception: Jyll can provide counseling and education to help you find a birth control method that works for you.
  • Gynecological Problems: Jyll will arrange appropriate testing and treatment for gynecological concerns such as painful periods, abnormal vaginal bleeding, pain with intercourse, STDs, or other infections.
  • Menopause: If you feel burdened by menopausal symptoms (hot flashes, night sweats, insomnia), Jyll will work with you to find the best treatment for your body.
  • Preconception Planning: If you would like to become pregnant, Jyll will spend time with you and your partner to help you plan for a healthy pregnancy.
  • Prenatal Care: During your pregnancy, Jyll will monitor your health and the health of your baby. She will also provide essential education while addressing your questions and concerns.

Jyll is committed to your health and wellness. She will begin seeing patients on August 17, 2009.
